Can I use SE01 with an iPhone or Android phone?
Yes, with a compatible 3.5mm headphone output or an audio adapter made for your phone. Phones without a headphone jack need a compatible USB-C or Lightning audio adapter. The adapter is not included.
Can I use SE01 with a music player, laptop or DAC?
Yes, with a compatible 3.5mm headphone output, including on a Surfans music player. Use the headphone output rather than a line output. The included plug does not connect directly to 2.5mm or 4.4mm balanced outputs.
Can I replace the SE01 cable?
Yes. The cable detaches at the earpieces through 0.78mm 2-pin connectors. Match connector shape, fit and polarity when choosing a replacement. A cable with the same pin spacing is not automatically compatible.
How do I get a comfortable fit?
Try the included ear tips to find a size that sits comfortably and forms a snug seal, then route the cable over your ears. Do not force the earpieces into place. If wearing them causes discomfort, remove them and adjust the fit or ear-tip size.
What comes with SE01?
The package includes the SE01 left and right earpieces, a detachable cable with a 3.5mm plug, ear tips and a user manual. A music player and audio adapter are not included.
Does SE01 have active noise cancellation?
No. SE01 uses passive noise isolation from the fit of the earpieces and the ear-tip seal. It does not use active noise cancellation. The amount of isolation varies with ear shape, ear tips and fit.
What does 1DD + 1BA mean?
It means one dynamic driver and one balanced armature driver in each earpiece. SE01 combines these two driver types in a hybrid design. Driver count alone does not describe a product's complete sound signature.
Is Surfans SE01 wired or wireless?
SE01 is a wired pair of IEM earphones. The included cable uses a 3.5mm headphone plug. You connect it to a compatible audio source rather than pairing it over Bluetooth.
Are the SE01 housings made entirely of metal?
No. SE01 has aluminum-alloy faceplates and transparent earpiece housings. The metal specification refers to the faceplates, not the entire housing.
Can I listen to lossless music with SE01?
Yes, with a source device that supports your music files and provides a compatible headphone output. The player or DAC handles file playback and decoding; SE01 receives the analog audio signal. The earphones do not decode FLAC or DSD files themselves.
Do I need a separate headphone amplifier?
